Justin Wilson
Justin Wilson brings passion and intensity to Dale Coyne Racing. Wilson is riding a wave of success from his 2008 IndyCar® Series debut in which he clawed out his first victory at the Raceway at Belle Isle in Michigan. He finished the season eleventh overall.
Justin’s resume in open-wheel racing is impressive, with two back-to-back runner-up finishes in the 2006-2007 Champ Car World Series, along with four wins and six poles. Justin knew at an early age that driving was in his blood. He captured his first big break in 2003 with a spot on the Minardi Formula One team before moving to Team Jaguar for the last five races. Justin never looked back after securing a ride in the Champ Car World Series in 2004.
2009 Highlights
Justin joined Dale Coyne Racing for the 2009 IndyCar Series. He lead the team to their first win at Watkins Glen. Overall the team finished ninth in the 2009 IndyCar Series Championship.
2008 Performance
Justin competed in the #02 McDonald’s Dallara-Honda-Firestone race car in his first season in the IndyCar Series with Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing. Justin’s first IndyCar Series win at the Raceway at Belle Isle was a major highlight. It was Justin’s fifth overall season in a major, U.S.-based open-wheel series after four seasons in the Champ Car World Series.

2007 CHAMP CAR WORLD SERIES
- Achieved runner-up position for the second consecutive year with 281 points in the season end standings

- Set the fastest lap at the San Jose race
2006 CHAMP CAR WORLD SERIES
- Won second place in overall standings with 298 points
- Won 2 poles and finished on the podium in 13 starts out of 14 races (Justin could not compete in Australia due to a broken wrist.)
- Set the fastest lap in Edmonton where he went on to win the race
